This glass retainer wire secures the oven door glass so it stays in place during use, helping keep the door sealed and preventing rattling or a loose inner panel. It's a direct-fit replacement for the factory retainer. What it does:
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. After some testing, it appeared that both elements were bad. After installing the new elements, the problem remained the same. Even when I tested the voltages it appeared that the Oven Control Board was good. However, since that was really the only part left to replace, I ordered it. Once installed the oven is back to normal. Received my Control Panel and Overlay 2 days after it was ordered!!!! Now I can bake cookies for the holidays!! Sweet!!! Read more
