This is a replacement mounting screw used to secure the appliance power/control board, restoring a solid electrical board connection and preventing vibration or loose contacts. Ideal for repairs where the original screw is missing or damaged. What it does:
Had an appliance repair person come in and after he tested it, he said the element was fine and that it is probably the control switch panel. A hundred dollars later, issue was not resolved.
