There are 2 thermo switches mounted in a plastic holder connected to the drain pump. The removal of the machine as your expert said was impractical. By removing the plastic holder, the switches and retaining springs, the new switch can be fitted with a lot less effort. The switches can be held in place with thread which is cut after installation. Heat conducting material should be added to the switches to improve heat transfer. Read more
