This is an outer door panel that is used with refrigerators. The outer panel is the part of the freezer that users have contact with when using the appliance. It works in tandem with an inner door panel to keep the freezer cold. The outer door panel also offers protection from impact associated with the freezer. It's made of durable materials but can experience wear and tear or damage and require replacement. When replacing the outer door panel of the freezer, make sure the appliance is unplugged. Remove the trim and the magnetic caps on the hinge side of the freezer. Keeping the door closed, push on the panel from the hinge side to disengage it from the brackets. The panel will come off and can be placed to the side. The new outer door panel can be placed in the same location before reassembling the door. Plug the freezer back in before use. This is a genuine OEM replacement component that has been directly sourced from the manufacturer. The outer door panel is sold on an individual basis. The part is made to be used with freezers by Crosley, Frigidaire, and Kenmore.
