My problem started with a rusting condition in the ice bin that spiraled out of hand. I took apart the ice bin and all the hardware thinking I could clean it with the suggested baking powder. Plastic parts cleaned up like new, metal parts were pitted. I wire brushed and sanded the parts put it all back together and gave it a try. All appeared fine then two days later the ice dispenser stopped. I watched a couple of videos and most pointed to the ice auger motor. One video specifically said you...

Plastic shroud on ice/water dispenser broken and falls off with use Rob S. • Sarasota , FL • November 03, 2024
Bought OEM replacement part. The new part had all the retaining clips that had broken off of old part. Needed new stick-on label to dress up the replacement shroud. Hardest part of the repair was disconnecting the wired module on back of old shroud. Feared I might snap off those retaining clips, too! Best part of experience of AppliancePartsPros.com was the help received to confirm parts ordered were grey to match the original install on stainless steel Frigidaire.

Fridge beeping constantly Michael L. • San Jose , CA • May 04, 2015
Switch replacement was easy:
-unplug fridge
-using medium flathead, pry out old switch, starting from back, be gentle it's all plastic
-when switch pops out, grab the wires and don't let them fall back into hold
-there should be three wires
-connect to new switch in same pattern
-push new switch back in, being careful to orient it correctly
while replacing the freezer switch, i noticed that one of the wires had loosened up and detacted from the old switch anyway, which was probably the actual...

Frig with ice crusher two blades of the crusher were bent and wedged together Ronald E. • Des Moines , IA • September 30, 2023
This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem. I don't see it as the crusher problem or the blades being to weak. The ice container gets over full, opening and closing the...
