I replaced the motor drive and gear. The new kit included a gear which the instructions said had to be used with the newer, higher-torque motor. Total time was about 2.5 hours including removing and reinstalling the compactor in under-counter cabinet space. To replace the gear and motor required removing the bottom panel of the compactor. The suggested fix by Appliance Parts Pro was accurate. Put in a new switch and replaced the drive gears that were damaged and everything works GREAT. Read more
Unfortunately buy just the little metal flange that broke so I had to buy the entire foot assembly. Appliance Parts Pros had the best price for this assembly. Taking off the old assembly and putting on the new one couldn't be simpler; two screws and five minutes, done. Read more
TALKED TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND WE WENT THROUGH ALL THE ON/OFF AND LIMIT SWITCHS. NARROWED IT DOWN TO TWO SWITCHS. THE ON/OFF SWITCH AND THE LIMIT SWITCH ON THE DOWN CYCLE SIDE.
