Started by replacing the belt - which was easy to do following the APP video on YouTube. Quickly learned that wasn't the problem. Took the dryer apart again and found that the issue was the glides were completely worn down on the bearing. Looked to replace just those, but saw the bearing was too worn to hold them, so got a new one as well (and a new screw as I dropped one and didn't want to take even more of the dryer apart!). Upon examination of the dryer, I noticed that the belt was intact, though a little worn and hard. However, I noticed that the belt had came of the idler pulley. So I put it back on and had the owners try it out on their next load of wash. It, once again failed to keep the drum turning. So I ordered a new belt and idler pulley (order # 8676164). Piece of cake...replaced bearing support and bearing glides. Video helped. Only issue is unclear about what glides need to be ordered and where they go. Had to look at another sight video. Grey glides go on top and nylon glides go on each side at the bottom. So you order two grey and two white glides. You also need a TORX driver to get the control panel free. So this and a Phillips Head #2 screwdriver and you are home free. Read more
