Took it off the wall and took it into my work shop. Took it all apart found 1/2" of caked on grease all over everything including the fan. This is the only fan over my stove. Scraped and cleaned it all using degreaser in a spray can for electronics. Removed the ventilation motor and replaced the interior light, Once unit was clean and dry reassembled and reinstalled. I ordered a new fan and motor unit and replaced the faulty unit.The case of the microwave was easy to unscrew and remove. The most difficult operation was to remove the appliance from the wall bracket as it weighed about 28kg. The cable connection to the motor was a push fit. Read more

I TALKED TO APPLIANCE PARTS PROS CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. SHE GAVE THE PART NUMBER TO ORDER. WHICH SHE ALSO ORDERED FOR ME. WITHIN TWO DAYS IT WAS DELIVERED. I WENT TO U TUBE FOR FOR HINTS TO CHANGE THE PART. I LEARNED HOW TO DISCONNECT THE RIBBON CABLE TO THE TOUCH PAD. THE REPLACEMENT WAS COMPLETED WITH NO COMPLICATIONS. Read more

The charcoal filter in the GE Microwave Oven was falling apart. Despite the directions, it is difficult to pull out but eventually worked it around the outer flange. Putting the new one in is a simple slide in. Then replace the grill and put the two screws back in. Read more
