My husband is the hero in this story. At this time in our lives we weren't looking to purchase another microwave. We searched the microwave and the part on line and appliance part pros came up with the parts for our microwave. We needed the fuse and the fuse holder. For under $20 we were able to get the microwave working again. Thank you appliance part pros for...

Damage to handle door cover and vent cover of ge microwave Tom S. • Wilmington , NC • October 27, 2015
Ordered, received and replaced each damages item.
Watched a YouTube video on how to do it.
Only problem with the video is that it doesn't explain that the front glass is attached to the door cover. I was lucky the glass didn't fall out and it was a bit tricky figuring out how to slide and snap the glass into the cover.

The fan was making odd nosies and grease would occassionaly leak around the door seal this was a 2001 ge spacemaker xl1400 microwave David B. • Royal Oak , MI • June 01, 2015
Took it off the wall and took it into my work shop. Took it all apart found 1/2" of caked on grease all over everything including the fan. This is the only fan over my stove. Scraped and cleaned it all using degreaser in a spray can for electronics. Removed the ventilation motor and replaced the interior light, Once unit was clean and dry reassembled and reinstalled. All works fine.

Old charcoal filter Eric D. • Wayne , PA • July 28, 2014
The charcoal filter in the GE Microwave Oven was falling apart. Despite the directions, it is difficult to pull out but eventually worked it around the outer flange. Putting the new one in is a simple slide in. Then replace the grill and put the two screws back in.
