This washer switch is both the lid lock and lid switch. New mounting bracket replaces older design. Which means in some applications you may need to drill off old design mounting bracket prior to mounting the new lock. If your replacing the 4 wire switch you will need to tape off light switch leads. The light will no longer be used. Instructions included.
I unplugged the power source to the appliance. I unscrewed 2 screws and unplugged the lid switch. I replaced the old switch with the new switch and screwed in the same 2 screws that held the old switch in place and plugged the new lid switch back in under the lid. that's it . I plugged in the washer and started a load of clothes. works just fine. NO HUGE REPAIR BILL. Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. The belt was off of the pulley and the idler wheel was worn out. I replaced the idler pulley and the spring and put the new belt on and the washer is working fine now. Read more
