Replaced the assembly with a new one while I made coffee. Called the OEM and ended up ordering the part twice, once over the phone and once on-line after the first never arrived. OEM didn't mention the part was on back order. While I was on the phone cancelling both orders I was able to find and purchase the correct part from Appliance Part Pros. I saved $50 on the nose and received the part in 2 days (vs waiting for the back order part for 6 weeks). Read more

One screw under the lid and two clips released with a putty knife on the left side and unplugged the unit. Reinstalled in reverse. Read more

For the spring, just hook it on the door. It goes oneway so you cannot miss this. For the cover, I had remove sides on both end since there is no space to insert the cover. Take both sides off by removing three screws on each side. Pull out the sides enough to insert the cover them put the sides back. Took 10 minutes to put the new cover. Read more
