The video provided by Appliance Parts Pros is excellent! I followed its steps. The one problem I had was getting the ribbon to disconnect. The plastic pieces that hold it together are fragile and broke. So, instead of disconnecting the ribbon I placed a kitchen stool in front of the dishwasher door and laid the top portion on it. Certain small pieces on back of the Escutcheon Asm had deteriorated with age. The affected pieces prevented the operation of other parts that depended on them to work. The dishwasher interlock switch was unable to work, and the cover interlock could not lock in place. The only option was to replace the Escutcheon Asm entirely. Ordered what thought was a new door. It turned out to be a cover panel only. After I figured it out, it worked perfectly. Only remove 7 screws, slipped on the panel and viola, instant fix. Read more
