I welded the auger first but it didnt seem to last. i then took the whole thing apart and found more worn parts so i ordered all of the parts i needed and replaced them. it now works like new. Read more
When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. I bought a condo, and did not realize the freezer shelves were broken. Once I moved in, I realized several shelves were held up by string.......I knew I couldn't use it effectively that way, and I wasn't ready to buy a new refrigerator, so I googled appliance parts and found this site. At first I ordered the replacement control board, but that didn't fix the problem. Then I ordered the Interface and control board all in one piece. That fixed the problem immediately. It was easy to install and now it looks great and works great. Read more
