This is a durable pump and motor assembly for dishwashers. The purpose of the pump and motor is to pump water that goes through the spray arms when the dishwasher moves through a cycle. If the pump and motor assembly isn't working correctly, it could lead to dishes that are dirty after a cycle is complete. Other signs of a bad pump and motor include pooling water after a cycle and whining noises.If the pump and motor assembly need to be replaced, make sure the dishwasher is unplugged. Use a pair of work gloves to protect the hands throughout the process. Close the water supply valve and disconnect the drain line. Replacing the pump and motor assembly may require tilting the dishwasher on its side to disassemble the components that are in the way of the replacement. I replaced the pump and motor part. It was very easy, the only tricky part is when you place the new one in the hole you have to press hard on the pump and this allows the pump to go all the way down. While pushing you can then move the locking levers in place. Read more
