Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. Removed 2 outer screws that held on handle and 4 inner screws which held on handle to outer panel. Installed new handle with 4 screws and installed outer 2 screws with spacers which were in door. Read more

In 20-year-old GE Electric Range Model Model JBP78BY1BB, I replaced the electric control panel for oven. Original GE Part was WB27T10102. Appliance Parts Pro (APP) provided excellent help and directed me to the closest replacement, which was GE Part No. WB27X10311 with APP part no. AP263445. Did ohm test on element and temperature sensor, both passed. Replaced control board. Needed to modify one wire, trimmed plastic terminal clip and receptical box to allow old wire to plug into new control board. Read more

They is a "pilot light" which most repair places said I would need at $25+, but IMHO LEDS are rare to burn out. I took everything apart and verified the LED worked fine, but the base of the lens broke off. The way this part works is the lens pops through the front of the oven and the LED / Pilot Light slides up and through it which holds it from the back.
