Disconnect the oven power. I thought that if the oven wasn't being used that no power would be at the connections, but I was wrong and took a little jolt.
The oven has a cover (4 screws) over the convection fan that has to be removed to access the screws for the baking element. 2 screws hold it in and 2 screws on the electrical connections. All of the screw heads were 1/4 inch. I used a small ratchet to remove them, but you could do it with a nut driver. I also don't think I could've done...
