Part Number: WP99002560
This water level switch senses the dishwasher's tub float and controls the water inlet. Replacing a worn switch restores correct filling, helping prevent overfilling or dry cycles that can reduce cleaning performance. What it does:
- Monitors the float position to open/close the fill circuit at the proper water level
- Common symptoms: dishwasher won't fill or stops filling too soon
- May also cause continuous filling/overfill if contacts are stuck closed
- Intermittent operation can leave the tub underfilled and washing performance poor
What's included:
- 1 water level (float) switch
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the toe/kick panel to access the switch near the float assembly under the tub
- Note wire positions; transfer connectors one at a time and secure the switch in its bracket
- The float moves freely and actuates the switch before reassembly and testing
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Will not drain
-
Won't start
-
Will not fill with water

Dishwasher wouldn't drain Ken S. • Columbus , OH • August 18, 2018
I called and talked to a customer service rep and she helped me troubleshoot the problem and order the correct part. She also sent me the pdf of the repair manual and I followed its instructions to replace the drain solenoid. It was a fairly easy repair. I wasn't sure if I would need the water level control switch, but I ordered it to be on the safe side. Turns out the original is still good.

Problem with detergent cup lid. John M. • Craig , CO • November 27, 2017
The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent.
Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Put the spring on the left pin, put the spring pin in the door, slipped the door into place (open) and put the right pin in with pliers. Door snaps open now.

This O-ring creates a watertight seal in your dishwasher's wash or drain system, helping prevent leaks and maintain proper water pressure. Replace a brittle, flattened, or damaged ring to restore a reliable, leak-free connection.
- Provides a watertight seal between mating parts such as pump housings, fittings, or hose joints
- Helps stop drips and seepage caused by a worn or deformed seal
- Common symptoms: water under the unit, moisture around pump/tubing connections, or leaks after reassembly
- Replace if the old ring is cracked, cut, flattened, or hardened
What's included: 1 O-ring Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
- Place a towel or shallow pan to catch residual water
- Clean the groove and mating surfaces; lightly moisten or use a manufacturer-approved lubricant to help the ring seat without pinching
- Seat evenly, reassemble without overtightening, and run a short test cycle to check for leaks
