I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

This membrane switch is an integral part of several ovens, stoves, and ranges by major manufacturers. This part is a keypad on the outside of the oven that allows a user to choose the appropriate temperature for cooking. Users can also use the membrane switch to choose various functions so the appliance properly cooks a meal. If this part is damaged, key presses may not cause the appliance to choose the right cooking options. If this occurs, the membrane switch should be replaced. Before taking on the replacement process, make sure the oven is unplugged from the wall. Pull the range out for access to the side panels. Remove the screws at the back of both. Pull the back corner out and unhook the clip to remove the side panel. Slide the trim to the back of the range until clear of the control panel. Remove the screws holding the membrane switch so it can be removed. Replace with the new component and reassemble.Created for Jenn Air ranges, stoves, and ovens, this is a genuine OEM replacement membrane switch. It is directly sourced from the manufacturer. This part is sold as a single component.
I ordered a new switch membrane and replaced the old one. It was very simple, and I think in the process I discovered why the prior switch membrane failed on me. There's only one connector from the membrane that goes into the "brains" of the thing, which I kept. I believe the old membrane connector got damaged when trying to shove it into it's slot, so I was quite careful this time and I hope I never need to buy a new one. First I took off the 4 knobs then took off the switch membrane.... Read more
