This is a double drip pan is made for ranges, stoves, and cooktops. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. The double drip pan is situated underneath two heated elements and is able to catch any food or debris that fall when cooking. The double drip pan is there to catch any and all waste so that the user may easily clean up after the heat is turned off and the appliance is cooled down.A new double drip pan might be needed if the current one is damaged in any way including being broken or bent so that is it not fully secure under the burner. To do the job right you need to pull the oven off the wall (this was the 6 burner with griddle dual oven). you need to get to the igniter plug by taking off the entire back.... easier than it sounds... the hardest part is sliding the stove out and back in... Confirmed parts needed through online chat with tech and followed video instructions for dryer conversion. Found a video online for range conversion. Replaced orifices for stove top and adjusted oven burner orifices and air shutters and inverted pin in pressure regulator to natural gas position. All went well with no problems, about an hour and a half to gather tools and complete both jobs. Probably could be done faster but I was taking my time. Read more
