Swapped out the old one with this one. Removed the screws at bottom of microwave, which allowed me to get to the defective wire harness and swap it out. Works great. Read more

Took it off the wall and took it into my work shop. Took it all apart found 1/2" of caked on grease all over everything including the fan. This is the only fan over my stove. Scraped and cleaned it all using degreaser in a spray can for electronics. Removed the ventilation motor and replaced the interior light, Once unit was clean and dry reassembled and reinstalled. 14 year old GE Profile microwave wouldn't heat, but had power. Read reviews here. Ordered triumvirate of magnetron, capacitor, & diode. Was hoping not to need the capacitor as this was an expensive part; and if not needed to return to AppliancePartsPros, which has been SOP. Called appliancepartspros for some help.They suggested the noise filter was bad I also checked the thermostats found one of them bad.Replaced both items did bring unit back to life but still would not heat,it appears there are problems with the megatron also found some burnt wires on the transformer took it to the repair shop.Would not have got that far if it had not been for the appliancepartspros giving me some help. The charcoal filter in the GE Microwave Oven was falling apart. Despite the directions, it is difficult to pull out but eventually worked it around the outer flange. Putting the new one in is a simple slide in. Then replace the grill and put the two screws back in. Read more
