It was simple to replace. I removed the two springs from the sub ass'y, then removed the two screws from the top of the microwave holding the sub ass'y in place. I then slid the assembly to the left about 1/2" and pulled straight out completing its removal. I then removed the three screws holding the metal hinges to the sub ass'y. To reassemble I just reversed the proces. Total time for removal and reassembly was about 15minutes. Read more

I have one of those combo units with the microwave on top and the oven on the bottom. The thermometer switch located on the upper right side mounted on top of the magnetron read open on a continuity test. Replaced the thermal fuse. Everything works fine now. Note: The thermal switch on the left side read closed, the fan switch on the lower right side read open. I just watched some youtube videos on what and how to test the components. The 20A fuse was good. So I tested the thermal... Read more
I had to remove the microwave from the range and then remove the cover from the microwave to determine the exact problem. After a visual inspection then discharging the high voltage capacitor, I used a meter to test the high voltage diode and fuses. After using the meter to ohm out the magnetron, I removed it from the unit, and seeing that the hole in the end of the magnetron's tube was enlarged and burnt, as if it was arcing, I assumed it was the bad part. I ordered the parts from Appliance... Read more
Dropped unit about six inches by support bolts (cabinet access) and replaced socket light assembly, replaced stovetop bulbs, replaced motorized vent grill. Replaced interior light bulb. I think it defies common sense but you have to drop the unit from its moorings to replace the interior bulb. Owner's manual says it is a two-man job, which compounds this engineering debacle. Actually you can lower it rather than completely deinstall. I had also not been able to replace the stovetop bulbs,... Read more
