Restore a secure, comfortable grip for opening and closing the door. This replacement handle brings back safe, easy operation and a clean, factory look when the original handle is cracked, loose, or missing. What it does:
I ordered a handle and mounting bracket to repair it. I took the door of the microwave appart and when I got to the broken part, it was neither the handle or the mounting bracket. What broke was the ancor spot on the frame of the door where the handle screw was anchored. It looked as if I would need to buy the entire door. However, after talking to one of your experts on the phone, I looked for a washer I could put the screw through to ancor the screw and secure the handle. I actually found not... Read more

The Door Latch is an OEM part for GE microwaves. It securely holds the door shut during cooking cycles to contain heat, prevent leaks, and keep small children from accessing the cooking cavity.
Symptoms of a bad door latch include:
Causes of a bad door latch are typically wear over time from repeated use. Exposure to steam and heating elements can also degrade plastic and metal components. An improperly closing door presents potential safety issues by allowing excessive heat to escape.
This genuine GE replacement part is compatible with some Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore models as well.
Noted wear on the door latch and the latch board. Before it totally failed you could push on the door to make it operate. After disassembly I checked the three micro-switches, which checked good. I replaced the door latch easily with the help of a video, then replaced the latch board. Be sure to use the little toggle on the replaced door latch on the new latch. I had to adjust the position of the latch board to make the microwave operate properly. Read more
This is a fuse that is used on microwaves. This fuse shuts off the microwave if there happens to be a power surge. This helps prevent damage to the microwave unit and also prevents fires from being started from the power surge. Be sure to unplug the microwave from its power source prior to attempting the replacement of the fuse. The process to replace the fuse is relatively easy and can be completed in about 30 to 60 minutes time.A new fuse may be needed if the microwave will no longer turn on. If the fuse has been blown, it will show scorch marks, and the filament inside will be melted. This fuse is a genuine General Electric part and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This specific fuse is compatible with microwaves that are manufactured by the General Electric brand.
