Replacement of the cooktop glass proved to be easier than previous descriptions I read. If there was a video, the replacement would have been much easier to do. Here is what I did: 1. This replacement part is an electronic control panel. This electronic control board displays certain settings to the user during use and allows them to alter the controls as needed and according to their preferences. A new electronic control board might be needed if the connection has become worn down between the panel and the machine. If the display is no longer showing information about the settings during use, it might be best to replace the part. Local appliance repair company quoted over $800 parts and labor to repair. Said parts AP6014094/WP9761566 (Membrane) and AP6016433/WPW10181439 (Electronic Control Board) were needed to fix. Bought both parts from AppliancePartsPro, installed in less than 30 minutes, but did not fix the problem. Using APP's website information bought the ribbon wire (AP6015869/WPW10155291) and Harns Wire (AP3892247/9762921).
