This replacement part is a dishwasher pump and motor assembly. The dishwasher pump and pump motor circulate water through the dishwasher's spray arm. When the spray arms aren't spraying properly, this could mean that it's time for a new pump and motor assembly. While this might seem like a difficult repair, replacing the pump and motor assembly is a fairly simple process.Start by making sure the dishwasher is unplugged. After that shut off the water supply going to the dishwasher. Then disconnect the drain line from the garbage disposal or sink drain. Open the dishwasher door and pull out the bottom dish rack. Proceed to remove the upper dishrack from its track.After that, release the spray arm on the bottom of the washer. Then proceed to release the feed tube clips. Using a nut driver remove the bottom access panel and tow panel. Pull them out to remove them. Remove the power cable from the junction box, and disconnect the supply line from the inlet valve. Proceed to pull the dishwasher out of the counter. Tilt the dishwasher on its side and pull the hose from the drain pump. Remove the wire harness from the pump. Disconnect wires from diverter motor and circulation motor. Once complete, proceed to tilt the dishwasher upright and remove the pump and motor assembly from the bottom of the dishwasher. Replace with the new assembly and follow the previous steps in reverse to reconfigure the dishwasher.This genuine OEM part is compatible with is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand dishwashers.

I like fixing things and I like my 15 year old Frigidaire GLWS1649AS2, so I wanted to fix it.
