First let me say not only were the prices of the parts great. But they also arrived lightning fast. Rather than just replace the motor. I ordered the fan motor, fan and all related parts as well as the grille panel. Since I was not sure whether I could remove the old grille panel without breaking it or not. I was correct I broke a corner off the old panel as I removed it. While I had the panel off I used a hair drier to defrost and dry off the evaporator coil. After that is was simply a... Read more
Both fixes were easy. The only snag was the first shipment there was virtually no packing material and the ice-maker banged around in the box enough to break itself and the new drawer. I called customer service immediately. A lovely gentlemen assisted me in replacing both items and this time it arrived with plenty of packing material. I replaced the lighting display / control circuit board. This was quite easy to replace after I figured out how to gain access to it. I finally found someone who posted how to replace it - you basically pull the whole assembly (ice/water delivery assembly, with display) out from the front without any prying. It just snaps in and out with a little effort. I wore some of those skin tight rubber gloves to add a little friction. Then it was easy to replace the circuit board. I actually ended... Read more

For an emergency fix I installed a 3 in1 kit disabling the original start cap and wiring in the original run cap to the run winding. Ordered the proper PTC and overload from Appliance Parts Pros and installed them 2 weeks later. The original start and run capacitor were good, rewired back to design specs. The original PTC had pins 1,2 and 3, the replacement had 2,3 and 4. Only wiring change was to install the red wire from pin 1 on the original PTC to pin 4 on the new PTC. Read more
