First let me say not only were the prices of the parts great. But they also arrived lightning fast. Rather than just replace the motor. I ordered the fan motor, fan and all related parts as well as the grille panel. Since I was not sure whether I could remove the old grille panel without breaking it or not. Both fixes were easy. The only snag was the first shipment there was virtually no packing material and the ice-maker banged around in the box enough to break itself and the new drawer. I called customer service immediately. A lovely gentlemen assisted me in replacing both items and this time it arrived with plenty of packing material. For an emergency fix I installed a 3 in1 kit disabling the original start cap and wiring in the original run cap to the run winding. Ordered the proper PTC and overload from Appliance Parts Pros and installed them 2 weeks later. The original start and run capacitor were good, rewired back to design specs. The original PTC had pins 1,2 and 3, the replacement had 2,3 and 4. Only wiring change was to install the red wire from pin 1 on the original PTC to pin 4 on the new PTC. Read more
