Researched symptoms on internet, figured out what part i'm gonna need, went to local appl. parts center, explained what fridge was doing and was told 3 weeks to get part, and that part would NOT fix my problem!!! For a $20.00 part and Overnight shipping i'm going to give it a try. Ordered part, came next day, installed it in 5mins, and fridge/freezer are FIXED!!! For an emergency fix I installed a 3 in1 kit disabling the original start cap and wiring in the original run cap to the run winding. Ordered the proper PTC and overload from Appliance Parts Pros and installed them 2 weeks later. The original start and run capacitor were good, rewired back to design specs. The original PTC had pins 1,2 and 3, the replacement had 2,3 and 4. Only wiring change was to install the red wire from pin 1 on the original PTC to pin 4 on the new PTC. Read more
