Secures the wash basket to the center shaft. Replace if stripped, cracked, or missing to prevent tub movement and noise. Left-hand thread design.
I took the wash basket out of the tub to remove all the sludge and scale that had accumulated over the years. But I did not have a spanner wrench to remove the large nut holding the basket to the center shaft. No problem - I used a hammer and chisel on the ears. But didn't realize it was a LEFT HAND THREAD!! That's when the nut split in two and I had no choice but to purchase another. Long story short, it's back together and the washer doesn't smell anymore. Live and learn... Read more
Fix water leaking onto the floor or uneven tub filling with this upper water injector. Directs inlet water cleanly into the tub. Easy DIY replacement.
An easy fix for the most part. I had no idea what I was doing, but glad I bought both upper and lower injectors. Not sure why these are separate parts? Cheap plastic. I did not get the hose clamp because I didn't think I would need it. You probably do, so go ahead and just order it or grab one if you have one laying around. Mine is hooked up without it for now which I'm sure I will regret later but I needed to get our washer running immediately due to a bed bug situation in our house. Read more
Filters debris and sediment from incoming water before it reaches the inlet valve. Replace if clogged or missing to restore proper fill flow. Confirm fit.
The machine would not run a full cycle before it cut off and had the code "FE" and water was too high. The water inlet valve needed to be replaced since it was letting in too much water at time. The repair was easy. Unplug machine and turn off cold water. Remove cold water line and drain water into bucket. Remove back two braces located at the top on each end of machine This will allow you to move top cove back about one inch. Pull back top cover about 1 inch then lift off cover. Remove... Read more
Fix a loose or slipping agitator that clicks or ratchets during wash cycles. This spring restores proper tension inside the agitator assembly.
Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more
