The Dryer Drum Roller Axle is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by offering support and an axis for the drum roller to spin smoothly. This guarantees effective and balanced tumbling of clothes throughout the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle can include prolonged use leading to wear and tear, accumulation of lint and debris causing additional friction, or improper loading of the dryer drum which can bend or strain the axle.
Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle include:
- Unusual noises, such as squeaking or grinding, during the operation
- The dryer drum struggling to turn or not turning at all
- Increased vibration or shaking of the dryer unit
- Clothes taking longer to dry or not drying evenly
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Dryer squealing on startup Sandy R. • Manhattan , KS • September 08, 2015
I replaced the belt, belt tension pulley, both dryer drum roller axles and both drum support rollers. Although I bought 2 tumbler bearing kits, because those still look good I am saving them for when they go bad. The videos were fantastic! I also took pictures as I went of wiring so there would be no question where things went when reassembling. It should be noted some models have extra terminals near the sensor terminals... just be aware and look closely/take pics as you are taking things...

The Lint Filter is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It is designed to capture lint and debris that are produced during the drying cycle, preventing them from entering the dryer’s internal components and reducing the risk of fire hazards. This filter measures approximately 13 inches wide by 9 inches high.
Over time, the lint filter can become clogged with lint, get damaged, or develop holes that reduce its effectiveness. Regular cleaning is necessary to maintain its performance, but eventually, it may need replacement to ensure optimal dryer operation.
Symptoms of a bad lint filter include:
- Reduced drying efficiency
- Longer drying times
- Excessive lint on clothing
- Visible damage or holes in the filter
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Broken belt on a Maytag lde8604ace dryer. Anthony B. • Lake Jackson , TX • April 27, 2020
Buy only an EOM Whirlpool belt (also fits this Maytag model)
At your electrical service panel, move your dryer’s breaker(s) to their off position(s). Unplug the dryer.
This project was quite easy once I figured out the best way to install the new belt.
Two phillips head screws at the bottom of the front panel are all that need to be removed to remove the front panel and door. Lift from the bottom out about 45 degrees and the front will come off. Unplug the one wire that will be hindering...

Dryer paddle fell off due to stripped screws Morgan D. • Woodinville , WA • July 29, 2021
This was my first ever self appliance repair. The videos provided by Appliance Parts Pros were excellent and gave me the confidence to do the work myself. My Maytag dryer model opened differently than the one in the videos. I had to remove the front panel and screwing in the paddle required reaching way back and working in a small space where I couldn't see what I was doing. It was uncomfortable but doable with a nut driver and a bit of elbow grease. The part fit perfectly and it looks good as...
