I pulled up a YouTube video of the Maytag repair for the part. After I had a visual of what to do, I took the door off the stove, removed the trim pieces in order to get the front cover off, then removed the broken trim piece the door handle attaches to, put the new part on (and it looks amazing!). Put the door back together and placed the door back into place. It was a very easy fix, but took a little bit longer since I have not done this repair before. But I feel that even a beginner would... Ordered a replacement top from AppliancePartsPros.com and it arrived within a few days. Upon opening the box, we did not realize that were purchasing a "used" and still somewhat damaged replacement part. The top corners along the back of the range top were both bent and damaged, enough that the paint was scraped to bare metal. We touched up the area a bit and decided not to return the part. Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new.
