*** Note: This glass tray has 3 partial-circles to engage the coupler. In some cases, the factory used a tray that has 3 triangles. For that glass tray use part# W11367904. ***
The Cooking Tray is an OEM part for Whirlpool microwaves. This glass tray sits on the turntable support and rotates to ensure that food heats evenly throughout the cooking cycle. It is designed to fit securely within the microwave, providing a stable platform for various dishes and containers.
Over time, the cooking tray can become damaged due to regular use, drops, or exposure to extreme temperatures. If the tray is cracked or broken, it can lead to uneven cooking and potential safety hazards.
Symptoms of a bad cooking tray include:
- Visible cracks or chips on the glass surface
- The tray not rotating properly
- Uneven heating or cooking of food
- The tray wobbling or not fitting securely on the turntable support
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Microwave outer plastic brittle cracking broken Karl M. • Westminster , MD • January 21, 2023
Whirlpool microwave model MH8150XJQ-0 manufactured May 2002. The outer door frame and vent grill became brittle, developed cracks and breaks with little pieces around the screws falling off... that sort of thing. It's over 20 years old so no complaints. The rest of the microwave is fine and since it's mounted over the stovetop, I don't want to deal with measuring, selecting, removing, installing, etc. when this one still works. I'm glad AppliancePartsPros had the parts. Anyone considering this...

Microwave inlet cover had a hole burned in it microwave was arching during use James M. • Atlanta , GA • December 18, 2014
Pried the old cover off. It was like a piece of particle board glued to the roof of the microwave and connected via plastic inserts. Cleaned the surface area of the microwave with the light sandpaper and cloth that was provided with the repair kit. Applied glue to the new cover and attached it with the push connectors to the holes in the inside roof of the unit. Let it sit over night and everything works fine.
