After checking, I found the capacitor was bad. Not too sure about the HV diode, so I replaced that as well. Worked like a champ. Read more
Black & stainless steel models
This was one of the easiest repairs ever. Five screws hold the bottom plate of the microwave in place. Undid those. One screw and a small tab hold the motor drive in place, making it easy to pull out. I broke off the old coupler. Removed the two wires from the motor drive, tossed the old motor, connected the new one, put it all back in place. The whole thing took maybe ten minutes. Read more
