Simple repair. Purchased the new ice tray "grill", snapped the old one out and threw it away, and then snapped the new one it. Took all of 15 seconds and makes the whole refrigerator look like new again. Money well spent!

The limit switch would get "stuck" in the on position so I changed that. Also changed the actuator pad for good measure as I mine was worn and dirty.
You'll need a T15 driver (torx) to access the panel, then a small phillips screwdriver to remove the limit switch.
This fix takes about 10-15 minutes. Dispenser functions properly now, shutting off when released. No more spillage.
