Quite a challanging repair - as many components corroded. Tube spin seal rubber boot failed, water leaked into shielded bearing. Replaced Bearing (shielded, not sealed - shame on you Maytag... Grrr!) & Tub seal. Used heat gun + pipe wrench to seperate large plastic parts, Automotive pressurised gasket eliminator (like Cheese Whiz) used to replace all gaskets. Runs like new now. Watched video online, ordered correct part and tool and followed the video instructions. Very clear instructions and advice to fix a problem with a part I had never heard of. I really recommend getting the spring removal tool as it made the job so much easier. Well worth the money spent. Read more
New timer, it is really easy. First see if the other wash modes like delicate work, if they do it's probably a bad spot/contact on the timer. You can also possibly see if you have a timer contact problem by wiggling the knob up and down when it's in the suspect cycle. You have to do it hard enough to move the knob and hence to contacts . If the cycle starts when you twerk it, the contact is worn and the timer needs to be replaced. Read more

2 terminal ( ATC ) automatic temperature control
I replaced it with a new valve, water. Read more
Quick and easy, took the back plate off the control panel, removed the old timer and plugged in the new timer. Works like new and took about 20 minutes. Read more
