Rusted trough drain leaking into bottom of refrigerator Melissa S. • Henderson , NV • October 01, 2017
The trough drain was rusted through and the Styrofoam on the evaporator was moldy. So, I replaced the entire cover and trough. I unscrewed the three screws on the cover. Unplugged the fan and removed the cover. Three are two more screws holding the trough and evaporator, I unscrewed them and removed the trough. The hardest part was cleaning up all the rust. Once it's clean, put it all back together. I was easier than I expected.

This small replacement linkage secures and positions the pan-chill assembly in compatible refrigerators, helping keep the drain/collector aligned and reducing movement or vibration. Replace a broken link to restore stable pan alignment. What it does:
- Connects and secures the pan-chill (drain/collector) assembly to the fridge framework
- Keeps the pan aligned for proper drainage and to prevent water pooling
- Reduces rattling or movement caused by a cracked or worn linkage
- Helps maintain correct spacing so adjacent components fit and operate without interference
What's included:
- One linkage pan-chill mounting link
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting work
- Access may require removing interior panels or shelving—keep fasteners organized
- Install by aligning the linkage with mating tabs and snapping or fastening into place; do not force broken plastic

Refrigerator side of French door refrigerator not cooling the top of the refrigerator. Robert G. • Tavares , FL • August 18, 2023
I ordered three parts of the Pan chill system for the GE Profile. The "Dial Pan chill" that connects the "Knob Pan Chill" to the Knob piece had broken in two pieces probably due to age and the cold temperatures that it operates in which is attached to the linkage that opens the door to the refrigerator from the freezer so that the refrigerator will cool down. The parts fixed the problem and I now have a freezer at 0 degrees and the refrigerator at 34 degrees.

This evaporator block seal replaces the rubber gasket that seals the evaporator block assembly to the freezer cabinet, helping maintain proper airflow and prevent leakage. It restores a tight seal around the evaporator block for reliable cooling performance. What it does:
- Seals the evaporator block to the cabinet to prevent warm air intrusion and water leaks
- Helps direct refrigerant-condensed water into the drain rather than inside the cabinet
- Commonly used when you see frost build-up around the evaporator or water pooling in the freezer
- Helps maintain consistent cold temperatures by preserving the sealed evaporator area
What's included:
- One evaporator block seal
Install notes:
- Designed for field replacement; inspect surrounding gaskets and mounting surfaces for damage before installing
- Clean and dry mating surfaces thoroughly to ensure a proper seal
- Use common hand tools; avoid over-stretching or cutting the seal during installation
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing and follow safety precautions for refrigeration components

This foam insulation for the refrigerator manifold helps reduce heat transfer and condensation around the refrigerant/water manifold, improving temperature stability and preventing unwanted frost buildup in the cabinet area. What it does:
- Wraps and insulates the refrigerator manifold and nearby tubing to limit heat gain and condensation
- Helps maintain consistent cooling performance by reducing thermal interference with the manifold
- Reduces risk of localized frost or moisture buildup that can affect nearby components
- Be needed if existing insulation is torn, compressed, missing, or water-damaged
What's included: One insulation manifold (foam) as shown Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid electrical shock
- Remove shelves, panels, or drawers as needed for access; keep track of fasteners
- Replace damaged insulation carefully to ensure full coverage of the manifold and tubing; trim if necessary for a snug fit
- If adhesive backing is present, press firmly to secure; do not block airflow or pinch tubing

Water dispenser stopped working. Christine G. • Omaha , NE • October 29, 2018
I did not realize the valve on the pipe behind the refrigerator did not shut off the water. My experience looked like an episode of "I LOVE LUCY" combined with "McGuyver"! I had water everywhere! Just a note: always shut off the main water source. I learned the hard way. Other than that "little mishap", the installation was easy and didn't take long.
