Specially about the dimming light on the display assembly is an indication of main board went bad. Initially cleaned -wife using smaller hands. Better idea to review why there is no SOP on the matter, and replace the part. While pricing the door discovered nice pricing on drip tray, and while at it the touch pad was cracking, as well as the freezer slide out handles broke (and we thought they were just covers), so bought all we thought we could use. Removed the lower right back panel and followed a GE Troubleshooting/support video for side-by-side GE models. AppliancePartPros shipped overnight when both Sears and GE didn't. Pricing was better than GE and competitive with other appliance part sites. Read more
