The Microwave Mounting Plate is an OEM replacement part for GE built-in microwaves. This sturdy metal plate secures the microwave in place above the range or cooktop. 

Symptoms of a bad mounting plate include:

• Loose fit that causes the microwave to shift or detach from the wall 
• Rusted, bent or damaged mounting tabs that no longer grip securely
• Screw holes that are stripped or cannot adequately fasten the unit
