The MWF Bypass is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. Located within the bottom freezer compartment, the metal water filter bypass fitted assembly is responsible for directing filtered or unfiltered water flow to the ice maker and dispenser. Causes for replacement may include faulty diverter components obstructing water flow to selections or resulting in water leaks. Symptoms of a problematic bypass unit include:
This OEM replacement bypass is compatible with GE, Hotpoint, and Profile model refrigerators.
First I ordered a new ice door seal, spring, and crank, figuring the condensation in freezer and door was caused by ice door not sealing. Turns out the solenoid for the ice door was completely rusted and was the primary cause, if it had been replaced early, it would have saved the dispenser board. What then happened was the moisture in the freezer door damaged the control board rendering dispenser controls inoperative as well as the heater around the dispenser. Now the freezer door is dripping... Read more
This LED housing cover protects and secures the refrigerator's LED light assembly while helping direct interior light. It replaces cracked or missing housing shields to restore proper light placement and prevent debris from contacting the lamp. What it does
This thimble door is the metal mounting sleeve that fits around an over-the-range microwave where it meets the cabinet cutout, restoring a finished look and helping secure the microwave in place. What it does:
This small replacement linkage secures and positions the pan-chill assembly in compatible refrigerators, helping keep the drain/collector aligned and reducing movement or vibration. Replace a broken link to restore stable pan alignment. What it does:
I ordered three parts of the Pan chill system for the GE Profile. The "Dial Pan chill" that connects the "Knob Pan Chill" to the Knob piece had broken in two pieces probably due to age and the cold temperatures that it operates in which is attached to the linkage that opens the door to the refrigerator from the freezer so that the refrigerator will cool down. The parts fixed the problem and I now have a freezer at 0 degrees and the refrigerator at 34 degrees. Read more
This evaporator block seal replaces the rubber gasket that seals the evaporator block assembly to the freezer cabinet, helping maintain proper airflow and prevent leakage. It restores a tight seal around the evaporator block for reliable cooling performance. What it does:
This foam insulation for the refrigerator manifold helps reduce heat transfer and condensation around the refrigerant/water manifold, improving temperature stability and preventing unwanted frost buildup in the cabinet area. What it does:
I did not realize the valve on the pipe behind the refrigerator did not shut off the water. My experience looked like an episode of "I LOVE LUCY" combined with "McGuyver"! I had water everywhere! Just a note: always shut off the main water source. I learned the hard way. Other than that "little mishap", the installation was easy and didn't take long. Read more
This dispenser housing shield replaces the molded cover that secures and protects the refrigerator dispenser area, restoring proper fit and appearance. It provides a stable mounting surface for dispenser components and keeps the opening tidy. What it does
This condenser shroud is the plastic cover that protects and channels airflow around the refrigerator condenser, helping the cooling system run efficiently and keeping components shielded from debris. What it does:
This wire basket fits inside the freezer compartment to hold and organize frozen foods, restoring secure storage and preventing items from shifting or falling. It's a direct-replacement style used where a wire basket is required. What it does:
This ice bucket and auger assembly stores and moves ice from the freezer bin to the dispenser, restoring reliable dispensing and keeping ice contained. Designed as a direct replacement for worn, cracked, or jammed ice buckets. What it does:
This cover pan assembly replaces the evaporator drain area to catch and channel defrost water away from the evaporator and into the drain system, helping reduce leaks and ice buildup in the freezer compartment. What it does:
