Sealed burner gas cooktop has to be removed from the counter top in order to disassemble. This means disconnecting the gas line. To disassemble the unit you will have to remove the gas line regulator. Once the unit is separated you will see the spark module. I replaced the module. Note: Because the new module has been updated from the original it does look different. I suggest you put the new module along side the old taking one wire at a time from the old to the new. The spark module for my 1990 Caloric Model RSS398 Natural Gas double oven range stopped functioning. I tried to get the part at a local appliance parts store and was unsuccessful as they said the part was discontinued. I emailed a photo of my possible problem part since my appliance was over 25 years old. The research part found the correct part number and I founded the replacement part video on the site. Remove the few screws from the back and exchange the wires from the original part to the new part and I was done.
