This door strike is the small metal latch that engages the door catch so the appliance door closes and stays secure. Replaces a worn or damaged strike to restore proper door latching and safe operation. What it does:

• Provides the mating latch surface for the door catch so the door stays closed
• Restores secure door closure when a worn or bent strike prevents latching
• Can help resolve symptoms such as a door that won't stay closed, won't latch, or prevents the unit from starting
• Black oxide finish resists corrosion and reduces visible wear

• One door strike (black oxide)

• Disconnect power (and water for dishwashers) before beginning any repair
• Remove door panel or access trim to reach the strike; keep screws and fasteners organized
• Align strike carefully with the door catch; tighten screws snugly but avoid over-torquing
• Test door operation and any door-interlock switches before reassembling the unit
