This lock washer secures fasteners by biting into the mating surface to resist loosening from vibration and thermal cycling. It's a small but critical retaining part used on appliance assemblies where a secure, vibration-resistant connection is required. What it does

• Provides a spring clamp action that helps keep bolts and screws from backing out under vibration
