We installed it in about 15 minutes. The only problem was the screws for the new handle. We did not realize that the new handle was closer to the door than the old handle so the old screws were too long. My husband went to the hardware store and got shorter screws and it all went together smoothly.

Not knowing the actual issue I ordered the control unit and on/off switch. After taking the control housing panel off I also found a broken button and ordered that.
