I first changed the main control board and de-iced the evaporator coils. It helped on some of the issues but the evaporator iced up in a few weeks again, so I retrofitted a timer and relay device to keep the evaporator coil clear of ice build up. That controlled that problem but the noisy fan and frost build up in the freezer compartment itself continued, so then I put in a new evaporator fan assembly and that has cleared up the rest of the issues. I ordered a clip retainer which hold the compressor in place. First, I discovered there are four clips and the one which I could easily move or turn by hand I ordered a replacement. The part came fast. In less than two minutes I had completed the repair. Read more

Replaced the circuit board and evaporator fan. Took a picture with my smart phone BEFORE removing the old board. The electrical connectors were located in different configurations on the new board but if you look at the circut boards the connections are labeled J1, J2, J3, J4 and so forth. Just matched the labels from the old via the picture I took with the labels on the new circut board. The install took less time than it took to research the problem and order the parts.
