Broken shoe in cooktop burner terminal block (after 37 years of use) Marc R. • Emerald Hills , CA • February 13, 2025
Replaced wire harness that is terminated in a contact-shoe in one of the two terminal blocks in the cooktop. Also replaced cracked burner-indicator lights as cooktop was disassembled to affect the terminal-block repair. All replacement parts fit properly and worked well. The greatest amount of time was disassembling and re-assembling the cooktop. Replacing the wire harness took less than 5 minutes once the range top was disassembled to allow access to the terminal block.

Stove downdraft stopped working Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business.

No power to bake or broil elements this range is a 1997 jennaire sve47500b Kenneth H. • Chillicothe , IL • February 08, 2015
Had friend test relay board with multimeter. I ordered a replacement board from appliance pros. This restored all oven functions. Easy fix for a do it yourselfer... Just connecting all wires to new board in proper order then testing took 15 to 20 minutes. I also suggest pre-testing bake and broil elements, oven temp. probe, and oven thermostat as pointed out in troubleshooting guide before ordering new board.

1. Error Code F7: Secured power and replaced the front display or membrane. Screws are along bottom edge and under stove top control knobs. Removed existing display board from membrane and installed it on the new membrane. Membrane wire ribbon end must be clean. After all wires were reconnected, oven worked for a bit (2 hours or so) and then started...
