Read that sometimes the fan gets stuck. Sure enough after pulling the fridge out and cleaning it off (hadn't gotten back there in years!), the fan was jammed. It began to spin again once we gave it some love. But the cardboard backing was so filthy, and almost disintegrating, so we ordered a new one and screwed it right into place.
