Replaced power cord. Note: Took old cord off and went to Sears parts center a couple of miles from my home. They said it was no longer available. Another major parts supplier also said the same thing. I found the cord on your site with my model number in under two minutes. Both suggested I buy a new refrigerator since mine was so old. Total repair cost with shipping under $20. Read more
It was so easy I was finished in two minutes. the socket popped right out and the new one only needed two lead connections and snapped back into place. Read more
First cleaned cooling fins at bottom. Plugged!! Cooled well but still got warm again. Tested defrost timer, boarder line good so replaced it. Still was getting warm. After doing a lot of web searching I found a tree chart which showed a trouble shooting method. After dropping down the list my symptom was freezer thermostat was bad. Got one from the Pros.com and the problem was solved. Wish that the drop down chart was on the pros.com website, it would have saved time and food. Read more
