Badly rusted lid and top cover: ge model s5100d0ww George W. • Louisville , KY • September 30, 2014
Removing and Replacing (R&R) the parts took about 15 minutes. Getting the correct parts took several weeks. It was a severe struggle.
Many of you will experience problems trying to get the correct "Lid" for similar GE washing machine models. AppliancePartsPros.com was great: Right price, Arrived quickly in good condition. I got the wrong part. It was not the fault of AppliancePartsPros.com, though. To make a long story short, GE has disseminated incorrect data in parts lists and it...

Noise when aggitating (scraping) unbalanced spin outs caused by the nylon cuopling wear down Rene*moeller M. • Stafford , VA • February 02, 2015
Replaced the Coupling Pulsator, and the Pulsator (short spindle in the center of the washer). The only problem that I encountered was how to remove the short spindle in the center of the washer...my fabric softer is in the center and you need to open that, grab the middle and loosen by turning left. Once that is out you will use a 7/16th socket and remove the entire agitator. Most of the videos show that you pull that straight up to remove - not the short one. There is still a screw to remove....
