Replaced the water inlet spout which was cracked and spraying water outside of the drum. Read more
I removed and inspected the lid magnet. It had a 1/8" layer of corrosion. I removed the layer of corrosion and reinstalled the part. the symptom improved. That was a stop-gap repair until the new lid magnet arrived. The broken rubber isolators were discovered when I removed the top of the washing machine. Read more
I replaced the "pressure switch" and was back in business. The other thing I did was clean the tube that went to the bottom of the tub. That might have been the issue since there was considerable resistance When I blew into it . After it cleared, I put s mall amount of bleach down the line then rinsed it and dried it and hooked back up, All is well! Water would continue to fill the machine even when the washer was unplugged. Had it stopped filling when the electrical was disconnected, the problem might have pointed to the pressure switch that determines water level but that was not the case. So, the valve was ordered and it was a very simple job to just replace the old part. Read more
