This temperature sensor (thermistor) measures internal temperature and sends readings to the appliance control to help maintain proper operation and cycles. It replaces a failed sensor so the control can accurately monitor temperature. What it does:

• Senses temperature and provides a variable resistance signal to the control board
• Helps the appliance regulate cooling/heating cycles and defrost timing
• Commonly associated with incorrect temperature, improper cycling, or temperature-related error codes
• Used wherever precise temperature feedback is required by the control system
