A bunch of things. Leaking, clutch was slipping and not spinning very well, and the brake was not engaging.. Alan V. • Melrose Park , IL • November 11, 2022
I installed all the necessary parts that I received from you and it works great, now. I received the parts in good time without overnighting them. I had the whole washing machine apart and went through it all before ordering parts. Tear down and assembly was easy. I just took my time. The washer is 17 years old and was well built. It was worth it compared to what is on the market today, and cheaper.

Washer was "dead" with a partially washed load and would not do anything Jimmy M. • Hopewell , VA • September 19, 2014
Researched this kenmore washer on-line and found the problem to be the lid switch. Saw a diagram on how to jump this switch by connecting a wire to both outside wires on the harness and voila! It worked! This is not a fix but it allowed me to finish the load of unwashed clothes and told me which part was bad (do not run washer jumped like this.......fire hazard!)
Ordered the lid switch and it was an easy repair. A $14.00 switch was a lot cheaper than a $450.00 washer. Thanks appliance parts...

Rusted top panel Dermott S. • Sebastopol , CA • July 05, 2015
I watched a few videos on you tube and thought I had a general idea on how to replace. The unit we have the top panel was attached from the side panels below the top panel,so I had to remove the three sides and top. I kept all the screws and attachments in order, vacuumed and cleaned the best I could.Once the top panel was replace I was able to reinstall the sides. That was a little time but got it done.
